Creating Trackers
Trackers are the core of NBot. There are two types of trackers you can create:
- AI Trackers - Use AI to intelligently curate, filter, and summarize content around a topic
- Subscription Trackers - Directly follow specific sources (RSS feeds, websites, X accounts, YouTube channels, or subreddits) for raw content delivery
AI Trackers
Using the Chat Interface
Click New Tracker in the navigation bar to open the AI chat interface:
- Describe what you want to track in natural language
- The AI assistant will ask clarifying questions and suggest configurations
- Review the generated tracker settings
- Click Create Tracker to start curating
Example Prompts
- "Track the latest developments in AI and machine learning"
- "Monitor news about Tesla and electric vehicles"
- "Follow cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities"
- "Track startup funding rounds in the fintech space"
Templates
NBot provides pre-built templates for popular use cases:
- Tech & AI - Latest technology news and breakthroughs
- Finance & Markets - Market trends and financial analysis
- Health & Science - Medical research and scientific discoveries
- Sports - Game results, trades, and analysis
- Politics - Policy changes and political developments
Select a template from the gallery on the new tracker page and customize it to your needs.
AI Tracker Configuration
After the AI generates initial settings, you can fine-tune:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | A descriptive name for your tracker |
| Search Terms | Keywords and phrases to monitor |
| Domains | Specific websites to source content from |
| Subreddits | Reddit communities to monitor |
| Tone | Preferred writing style for summaries |
For detailed configuration options, see Configuring Trackers.
Subscription Trackers
Below the AI chat interface on the new tracker page, you'll find source type buttons for creating subscription trackers. These let you follow specific accounts or feeds directly without AI curation.
Supported Source Types
| Source | Description | How to Add |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube | Follow YouTube channels | Search for a channel or paste a URL |
| X (Twitter) | Follow X accounts | Search for an account or enter a handle |
| RSS | Subscribe to RSS feeds | Paste an RSS feed URL |
| Website | Follow a website | Enter a website URL |
| Follow subreddits | Search for a subreddit |
Creating a Subscription Tracker
- On the new tracker page, click one of the source type buttons (YouTube, X, RSS, Website, Reddit)
- In the modal that opens, either:
- Browse popular sources and search by name
- Enter URL to add a specific source directly
- Select or validate your source
- The subscription tracker is created and starts delivering content
How Subscription Trackers Differ
Subscription trackers show content in a chronological news feed. Unlike AI trackers, they do not generate digests, summaries, or podcasts - they deliver raw content from your followed sources as it appears.
Managing Trackers
You can manage your trackers from the homepage:
- Edit - Modify tracker settings (AI trackers via chat, subscription trackers via settings)
- Delete - Permanently remove a tracker from Settings
Tracker Limits
The number of trackers you can create depends on your subscription plan:
| Plan | AI Trackers | Subscription Trackers |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 2 | 30 |
| Plus | 10 | 100 |
| Pro | 20 | 100 |
See Subscriptions & Credits for more details.
