Russian bear-conflict surge

Reports claim at least 20 people have been killed by bears across Russia in the past year, including seven in Krasnoyarsk Krai during September, alongside more than 120 settlement intrusions and four bears eliminated in one day in Transbaikalia. Poor food crops, garbage, deliberate feeding, tourism, and alleged response failures are cited, but totals and attribution remain only partly verified and viral reporting may overstate the scale.
