Black-bear activity continues spreading through homes, schools, airports, roads, malls, and urban recreation areas across Wisconsin, the Midwest, the Southeast, New Mexico, Utah, and western metros. Mother-and-cub food-foraging behavior, including learning to defeat truck-bed covers, reinforces the role of garbage, birdseed, grills, vehicle storage, and pet food in repeat visits, though the latest example is duplicative.
