Rare Tropical Storm Warning for Coastal Bay Area (July 21) + Beach Hazards from Hurricane Fausto

A tropical storm warning has been issued for the coastal Bay Area, an extremely rare event. Wind speeds of 39-57 mph threaten life, property, and infrastructure. Additionally, a beach hazards statement for sneaker waves from Hurricane Fausto is in effect Saturday through Tuesday. Directly impacts personal safety, power outages, and commuting. Audience must be alerted immediately. New (July 22): NWS issued beach hazard statement for sneaker waves and rip currents up to 10 feet due to cyclones pushing swell.
