I-95 express-lanes extension and regional transportation

A public hearing is set for a proposed roughly 30-mile I-95 express-lanes extension south through Fredericksburg and into Spotsylvania. The plan would eliminate temporary toll-lane conversions, but environmental review, funding, toll effects, congestion, and impacts on Stafford and Spotsylvania remain unresolved; a broader two-way toll-lanes concept is still early-stage.
