Standard Repayment Plan PSLF Paperwork Trap

The Standard Repayment Plan only counts toward PSLF if the borrower has a PSLF Employment Certification Form (ECF) on file. K-12 teachers auto-enrolled into Tiered Standard after SAVE vacatur may lose months of PSLF progress if they haven't submitted an ECF. Urgent to switch plans or file ECF before the 90-day deadline. A new article (July 7) confirms this barrier is now in effect as part of the five new barriers.
