A 12,000-person NYU study followed for 26 years associated control of hypertension, diabetes, and smoking in midlife with approximately 13 additional dementia-free years. The finding strengthens the actionable message that cardiovascular prevention is brain prevention, including for people concerned about menopause-related brain aging.
