Stanford Medicine researchers received $16 million in NIH support for a multisite phase 2 trial of donanemab in dementia with Lewy bodies, based on possible amyloid overlap with Alzheimer’s disease. Biomarkers, imaging, extended follow-up, and diversity efforts are included, but benefit and safety in Lewy body dementia remain unknown.
