Waller signals support for holding rates in September
Fed Governor Christopher Waller said he would support keeping rates unchanged at the September 15–16 meeting if August inflation moderates, while retaining the option of a hike if disinflation stalls. His remarks pulled September hike pricing toward roughly 57–58% from above 60%, eased Treasury yields and contributed to a stock-market rebound.
