Wave of New Restaurant Openings and Expansions in New Orleans

The chef-driven pipeline remains unusually active, with Procida now open in the Marigny under chef Valeriano Chiella, serving modern Southern Italian food shaped by Gulf Coast ingredients and New Orleans's Italian heritage. Kira Omakase, Showbird, Respite, and Holywater are also open; Tatlo is set to return in October; and Shang Kitchen, Casa Verde, Velvet & Vine, Crustacean Club, Daughter's, Maison Rêvant, Dr. Jones's Uptown relocation, and Jewel of the South's Cocktail Hour remain in development. A standalone New Orleans School of Cocktails café is also planned, though it is a more casual hospitality development.
