JWST Finds Candidate Early-Universe Black-Hole Pairs
JWST identified four candidate pairs of compact, red objects in the early universe using pixel-by-pixel analysis, with two pairs spectroscopically confirmed as genuine neighboring systems. The result supports a possible pathway for rapid supermassive-black-hole growth, while related black-hole-star and buried-black-hole explanations remain speculative and the two remaining pairs are unconfirmed.
