Meta reportedly reached an approximately $18 billion settlement concerning alleged under-13 data collection without parental consent; approval remains pending and Florida is excluded. New Mexico is also pursuing Meta over alleged deceptive privacy representations and Cambridge Analytica-era data sharing involving about 350,000 residents, keeping age assurance, consent, disclosures, and platform-governance issues active.
