Starship targets September 22 orbital test flight
SpaceX has announced a September 22 target for Starship's next flight, intended to attempt orbital operations with six low-Earth orbits, splashdowns of both stages, up to 26 Starlink V3 deployments, and heat-shield imaging. In-orbit cryogenic refueling remains a central unresolved prerequisite for Starship lunar missions; the flight could provide important development data, but orbital success and recovery remain uncertain.
