Lee County Greenwell Park community center funding and redevelopment

Lee County is advancing nearly $50 million in remaining CDBG-DR funding for a replacement community center and related Greenwell Park improvements. The concept has gained commission support, but demolition, floodway constraints, vendor impacts, HUD’s 2031 deadline, final design, and construction procurement remain unresolved.
