Panthers fire Ejiro Evero; Todd Wash takes over as interim DC

Carolina fired defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero and passing-game coordinator Jonathan Cooley after a 3–4 start and a 27–19 loss to Green Bay. Defensive line coach Todd Wash is interim coordinator and takes over play-calling. The move is a major coaching shake-up, while its impact on the defense remains uncertain.
