Baker Mayfield expected to return against Panthers after thumb injury

Mayfield is expected to start Sunday against Carolina after missing three games with a dislocated right throwing thumb. He remains officially questionable despite full practices and a reinforced glove, with coach Todd Bowles saying he looks ready. Tampa Bay will also be without Emeka Egbuka, who developed concussion symptoms at the facility for an unclear reason, and Luke Goedeke.
