USA Rare Earth construction and processing-technology test

USA Rare Earth is advancing its approximately $1.2 billion South Carolina metal, alloy, and magnet facility, targeting 5,000 tpa of metal/alloy capacity and 6,400 tpa of NdFeB magnets from 2028. The Pasqal-Riven collaboration will test quantum-assisted modeling, robotics, and automated separation experiments, but remains early-stage without disclosed commercial validation, funding, or economics; recent groundbreaking coverage is largely duplicative.
