Lightning strike damages Gladwin wastewater treatment plant; service restored under temporary measures
A lightning strike knocked the Gladwin Wastewater Treatment Plant offline on July 26. Residents were told to avoid plumbing to prevent sewage backups. As of July 27, service has resumed under temporary measures; residents can flush but should conserve water. Portable toilets available. No further restrictions expected.
