New openings and active trail closures

Tunitas Creek Beach and San Gregorio Ranch are open, and Skyline Watershed Ridge Trail opened Aug. 20 with a permit requirement, no dogs, limited parking, no water, and a steep 12-mile round trip to the dead end. Tennessee Valley Trails are closed Aug. 24–Sept. 4 for road work, Big Basin’s Timms Creek loop is not expected back until spring 2027, and a culvert-related closure currently affects the Los Gatos Creek Trail; verify conditions before traveling.
