Tilden closes South Park Drive to cars for newt breeding season

South Park Drive is closed to cars Nov. 1–March 31 to protect breeding newts, but remains open to people on foot and bikes. Cyclists are asked to slow down, and dogs should be kept away because newts are poisonous to pets.
