Defense shows flashes but must prevent explosive plays

Keith Brown's return and Jaylen Thomas's two interceptions provide encouragement, but Kansas State's 487 total yards, 295 rushing yards and second-half explosive plays exposed continued issues with tackling, third-down defense and communication. WSU must contain big plays and sustain defensive consistency against upcoming opponents.
