2027 Apple Cup moved to August 28 in Pullman

Washington State’s 2027 Apple Cup against Washington moves from September 18 to August 28, making it the season opener under the NCAA’s new 14-week calendar. The current home-and-away contract expires in 2028, and possible future playoff scheduling rules could complicate the rivalry, but continuation or termination beyond that point is unresolved. Kickoff and TV plans are unknown.
