Aroostook County evaluates replacement jail locations

County officials are seeking a replacement for the aging 1889 jail, with Presque Isle identified as a possible location. The project estimate is about $112 million; no site has been selected, and transport, traffic, taxes, capacity, and public-input issues remain unresolved.
