Roster rebuild, draft and staff transition

Rachid Méziane is reported to coach the Houston Comets, with Jennifer Rizzotti and Morgan Tuck also remaining with the franchise; the rest of the staff is under evaluation. The 22-66 record is framed as part of a rebuild with a playoff goal for the young core, and no roster move is confirmed. Farewell reporting describes opportunities for young players, especially Raegan Beers, amid injuries; Brittney Griner’s reshared Comets post remains speculation, not confirmed negotiations or a signing.
