Anthropic Expands Claude Into a Unified Workspace and Controlled Science Platform

Anthropic is folding Cowork into Claude Chat and adding native Docs, Slides, Design, memory, sharing, connectors, schedules, skills, plugins, and autonomous tasks. Claude Code Projects appears to add model selection and background tasks, while the Life Sciences Verification Program extends the capability-with-controls strategy to Mythos through use-case-bound access, Standard and High-risk grants, offline monitoring, and retention limits. Rollout scope, permissions, monitoring effectiveness, and real-world outcomes remain open.
