Tesla’s robot and Cybercab ambitions face a weaker earnings backdrop
Tesla reported Q3 revenue of $28.04 billion, essentially flat year over year, and net income down 43% to $787 million as production-quality Optimus units began coming off the Fremont line. The company plans small-scale Cybercab sales by year-end, but unsupervised FSD remains delayed and NHTSA scrutiny and unresolved manual-control standards cloud deployment. Optimus production targets and Cybercab commercialization economics remain unproven.
