Dallas police accountability cases remain active

An affidavit alleges Officer Troy Allison choked and repeatedly struck a handcuffed suspect in Deep Ellum; he surrendered October 7 on an official-oppression warrant and remains on administrative leave. A separate longtime DPD officer faces a state jail felony solicitation-of-prostitution charge and administrative leave; both criminal and administrative matters remain unresolved. Amber Guyger was released on parole October 16, resolving her previously scheduled release.
