Detroit Hands Philadelphia Its First Loss

Philadelphia lost 106-93 to Detroit on October 25, falling to 3-1; Maxey scored 29 and Bona had 13 rebounds. Detroit’s 54-37 rebounding advantage, pressure, switches, and the absences of Embiid and Edgecombe contributed to the defeat. Maxey identified boxing out as a team-wide issue; his head clash with John Collins remains a watch item, but no current status is confirmed.
