DoorDash faces landmark NYC driver-pay settlement

DoorDash agreed to pay $131.5 million to more than 260,000 New York City workers after acknowledging technical and operational errors that caused underpayments. The settlement includes more than $115 million in driver compensation, penalties, possible double repayment, and three years of monitoring; related NYC enforcement could extend to other delivery apps and algorithmic-pay practices.
