Packaging sustainability is converging with claims, EPR and total-cost decisions

EmpCo-style restrictions, EPR and California SB 343 are making substantiation, recyclability data and local infrastructure central to packaging design. APR–Recyda, the artience–DIC flexible-film protocol, waste-picker-impact reporting, PaperFlex and supplier developments from Masterpress show growing upstream activity, but barrier performance, end markets and economics remain unresolved.
