States prepare for possible federal involvement at polling places
Wisconsin and Minnesota officials are developing guidance for possible ICE, DHS, FBI, DOJ, or other law-enforcement activity, while parties plan observers and monitoring operations. Experts still identify federal personnel near polls, misinformation, intimidation, and late rulings as risks, but generally do not expect widespread disenfranchisement or illegitimate results.
