Beltline rail and Northwest Trail connections advance

The Beltline’s recommended $3.5 billion light-rail concept includes a preferred CSX alignment, 13 stations, projected annual ridership of 4.2 million, and three operating loops. Construction has begun on a Northwest Trail segment with a Northside Drive pedestrian bridge and I-75 connection, targeted for late 2028; funding, equity, and construction impacts remain unresolved.
