Trainium and Custom Kernels for Real-Time Video Generation

A September 2026 AWS Trainium/NKI engineering report demonstrated real-time autoregressive video generation outside NVIDIA hardware using custom kernels for dynamic shapes, 3D RoPE, and KV-cache movement. The result could matter for interactive CGI, simulation, and broadcast infrastructure, but it remains a workload-specific engineering result without established portability, cost advantage, or production reliability.
