Olathe Transportation Projects and I-35 Crash Disruptions Advance

Olathe has spent nearly $10 million acquiring property for the Santa Fe Street/I-35 reconstruction, and the Aug. 15 open house is the next major opportunity to review plans. Recent serious northbound I-35 crashes near Lone Elm Road caused closures and reported injuries; lanes reopened, but traffic effects and crash details remain under review. KDOT's $18.7 million K-10/Lone Elm bypass also needs route, schedule and property-impact details.
