Johnson County School Funding Lawsuit Threat

A coalition of Johnson County school districts (Olathe, Blue Valley, DeSoto, Shawnee Mission) has selected Lathrop GPM as its law firm and is threatening to sue the state over education funding. Olathe alone shifted $44M from its general fund to cover special education costs. The issue is escalating as schools start the new year.
