Verrus data-center proposal enters public task-force review
Verrus is pursuing a roughly $394 million, 600,000-square-foot data center in Salem, but the city has deemed the application incomplete and seeks details on water demand, cooling, backup power, energy, noise, and other impacts. A new task force has started public meetings and is expected to advise the City Council in December as debate over transparency and a possible moratorium continues.
