AWS Publishes Apache 2.0 Pizza Bot for Background Agents

AWS introduced Pizza Bot, an open-source reference for asynchronous background agents built around DeepAgents and LangGraph. Durable checkpoints, cron and webhook triggers, Ollama and other provider support, scoped skills, MCP integration, and approval controls make it useful to builders; recent framework-versus-harness discussion strengthens its relevance, though deployment security, reliability, cost, and maturity remain to be validated.
