UTEP falls to San José State; injuries and offensive line raise concerns

UTEP lost 24-11 on Oct. 17 and is 1-6, not 0-6 as some reports stated. Despite 462 yards and 27 first downs, 11 sacks and red-zone failures hurt the Miners. E.J. Colson left injured, with reports differing on whether he briefly returned; his status and those of Tavorus Jones and Lowe remain unclear ahead of the Oct. 31 North Dakota State game after a bye. Recent recaps add no distinct developments.
