Severe storms cause power outages; new alert for Tuesday; weekend storms

Hundreds without power in Winnebago and Boone counties after storms swept through the region. A new enhanced risk of severe storms with potential 80 mph winds is forecast for Tuesday morning (9am-3pm). Additionally, waves of storms expected through the weekend with heavy downpours and localized flash flooding. Residents should prepare for additional outages and damage.
