Congress advances proposed survivor-protection and restitution measures

Rep. James Comer introduced the proposed Survivor's Voice Protection Act, targeting abuse-related NDAs and grooming disclosures. Rep. Ayanna Pressley proposed a separate Survivors' Rights Restitution Act that would create compensation and adjudication mechanisms; both are proposals with passage, funding, and legal durability unresolved.
