Bills release C.J. Gardner-Johnson

Multiple articles report Buffalo released Gardner-Johnson after his one-game suspension; he started six games and recorded 26 tackles and an interception. The move leaves safety depth questions, with Cole Bishop, Damar Hamlin, Sam Franklin Jr. and rookie Jalon Kilgore among the listed options, but the Bills have not explained the decision or identified a replacement plan.
