Cincinnati survives Miami (Ohio) comeback to start 3-0

Cincinnati rallied from a 28-7 halftime deficit to beat Miami (Ohio) 35-31 on September 19 in the Victory Bell. JC French IV threw for 309 yards, Cole Tabb scored the decisive 53-yard touchdown, and Antwan Peek Jr. made a late sack-forced fumble, but Miami exposed serious defensive communication, pass-rush, kickoff-coverage, and slow-start problems before Big 12 play.
