Matthew Goudeau leads San Francisco’s revamped Arts Commission with a $42 million budget and eased grant rules, while the Cartoon Art Museum and Phil Tippett Studio face closure. SF Camerawork has instead been rescued through a supporter-led transition and is scheduled to reopen Sept. 9, 2026, under Hal Fischer and Monique Deschaines.
