Rotation Setback and Bullpen Building for 2027

Berríos is expected to miss 2027 after Tommy John surgery and remain under contract at $48 million over two years; that salary could constrain a Bieber pursuit. Toronto did not give Bieber a qualifying offer, but his return remains unconfirmed. Taillon could also miss most or all of the season, while Cease is expected for spring; proposed Rogers and King additions remain speculation.
