Short-term-rental restrictions move toward adoption and Coastal Commission review

The City Council unanimously approved rules barring short-term rentals and homesharing from the Coastal High Fire Hazard Area, while separate citywide standards would require a two-night minimum, limit owners to one license, and allow one STR per multifamily parcel. Formal adoption of the citywide ordinance is expected October 27, and Coastal Commission review and implementation remain ahead.
