AFL selections spotlight Crisantes and Arizona’s development priorities

Demetrio Crisantes and Joe Ariola were selected for the Fall Stars Game, giving Arizona prospect watchers a current development marker. Crisantes is getting second-base reps after strong Double-A production, but his limited Triple-A sample and looming Rule 5 protection decision matter; Ariola’s early AFL numbers cover only 6.1 innings. Arizona is emphasizing individualized work, including Patrick Forbes developing secondary pitches and Diaz Martinez building innings in winter ball.
