FIU loss halts Aggies' apparent turnaround

After answering the New Mexico rivalry loss with a 34-13 Conference USA-opening win over Western Kentucky, NMSU fell 22-3 at FIU on Oct. 7. Three turnovers, 230 total yards and a 3-of-12 third-down showing renewed concerns about offensive consistency; a Week 7 Conference USA ranking places NMSU fifth but adds no evidence of recovery.
