Extreme heat and weather: heat wave, cold front, flood risk, then return to heat

A prolonged heat wave with indices up to 106°F has affected the area, causing road buckles and AC repair surges. A cold front arrived Aug 1 bringing storms and a Level 2 flood risk early Sunday. Slightly lower heat but new flooding hazard. Forecast shows return to heat with feels-like temps up to 105°F by Friday, then drier Friday/Saturday, more rain Sunday onward.
