New Mexico scored 63 unanswered points, set a program record with 42 points in the second quarter, rushed for 287 yards, scored seven rushing touchdowns, and forced six or seven turnovers in the Sept. 12 win. The result strengthened the Lobos’ early profile and their standing in a reshaped Mountain West, but remains limited evidence ahead of Oklahoma.
