Defense faces continued containment and explosive-play concerns

Bachmeier's 109 rushing yards and BYU's 63- and 75-yard touchdown completions reinforced concerns about mobile-quarterback containment, eye discipline, tackling and explosive-play prevention. These remain major priorities during the bye before Arizona, with no confirmed personnel or scheme change. Iowa State's +3 turnover margin is a positive indicator but does not resolve the coverage issues.
